Am I going to have to bring supplies for the workshop?

Because we believe in making you as comfortable as possible, and knowing how burdensome it is to lug all your supplies with you, we will provide all you need:

Acrylics, watercolors, inks, pastels, colored pencils and charcoals, paper and brushes, materials for collage, mediums and gesso, will be provided for you, at no extra cost.

We ask that you bring your sketchbook and, if you like, your favorite drawing material, a camera  or smart phone, tablet or whatever means you have of taking photographs.

If you wish to discuss your work, please bring a USB containing a small portfolio.  This will help us get acquainted better and faster.

What are the pick-up and drop-off times at the airport or the harbour?

It all depends on the individual arriving times of the participants.  You don’t have to worry, we will be there to pick you up – you will see an artmade sign.  The same will happen on your departure date.  We will drive you on time at the airport or the harbour.

Can I come by car?

Yes, you can ferry over from various ports of Greece such as Lavrio or Piraeus (departing from Athens) and Thessaloniki or Kavala (departing from Northern Greece).  Attention must be given to schedules, so that you will be in Lemnos on time.  If schedules do not coincide and you have to arrive earlier, it is recommended to contact us in time so we may help you with accommodations and other details.

What can non-artists do?

All non- artist guests are welcome to come along on our excursions where they can discover Lemnos from our local perspective.  There is a lot of sightseeing and activities such as sea sports, hiking and horseback riding that everyone can enjoy.  You can use the local transportation or rent a vehicle to visit Myrina or other destinations.  You can also use the available bicycles to visit surrounding areas.

What if it rains?

In Greece we have sunshine 80% of the year, but if the weather does not cooperate, we will alter our program to include indoor activities, such as a visit to the Archaeological Museum in Myrina, and take some more time to discuss and further develop our on-going projects.
