Repanidi is a small, peaceful, traditional village consisting of 150 inhabitants and situated almost at the center of the island. Its architecture is typically Lemnian – stone built houses with gardens, traditional spring fountains, “gouves” – wine making containers built underground – and the recently renovated 18th century byzantine church of Saint George.
Short walks will bring you to the surrounding oak forest or the small port of Kotsinas where you can enjoy swimming, a drink, or supper by the sea. You can discover neighbouring villages such as Kontopouli or Romanou and the wetlands of Keros, by taking longer walks or biking.
In Repanidi you will find a shop where you can buy everything that you might need and the town square where you can enjoy your coffee.
Depending on the arrival times, a minibus will facilitate your access to various destinations and transfer you from and to the airport and port. Of course, any of the participants who wish to move on their own, can use local transport or rent their own vehicle or bike, or even come to the island with their own personal transport.
